My Pen Name Novels

My Pen Name Novels

Sometime an author writes books that are so different from the others they’ve written that they use pen names so their readers aren’t surprised at just how different they are, and the name change gives them fair warning. Many readers like to stick to one genre, but some love to follow authors no matter what genre they write. If you’re that kind of reader, check out the sci-fi and urban fantasy books I write under the name Teyla Branton and mainstream sweet romances under the name Rachel Branton.

Keep in mind that urban fantasy is by nature dark, and though my novels definitely don’t delve into the darkest side of the genre and don’t waste plot space on intimacy scenes, this series is very different from my usual novels. Think action, strong heroines, the fate of the world at stake.  To read the descriptions and read sample chapters visit TeylaBranton.com.

Under Teyla Branton, I’ve also reprinted my Imprints series (paranormal suspense), originally published under the name Rachel Ann Nunes. The first four books have been retitled (now Touch of Rain, On the Hunt, Upstaged, Under Fire). And my main stream romantic women’s fiction (Finding Home, Fields of Home, and Eyes of Stranger) under Rachel Branton (now Take Me Home, All That I Love, and Then I Found You). Please note that Then I Found You is sort of a prequel to the Autumn Rain Imprints series. It’s Tawnia’s story, but we also see from Autumn Rain’s point-of-view. The book details how the women met for the first time since birth and discovered they were sisters. It also tells about how they tracked down their parentage and how Tawnia got together with her future husband.

I don’t see any mention of the connection between Then I Found You and Touch of Rain, how does Then I Found You tie into the Imprints series? Are they meant to be read separately?

Good question! Then I found you is Tawnia’s story, and we also see from Autumn Rain’s point-of-view. It’s how the women met for the first time since birth and discovered they were sisters. It also tells about how they tracked down their parentage and how Tawnia got together with her future husband.

Are the old imprint series books the same as your new ones, but with just a different pen name?

The Imprints novels are the same. Well, a bit rewritten, but the story is the same. Only First Touch, the prequel novella about how Autumn started working with Shannon at the police department is brand new. But now that I have control over the series, I plan to write more!
