It was a lot of fun presenting at the League of Utah Writers Conference this year because I got to meet bestselling fantasy author, Terry Brooks. I've been reading Terry's novel since high school and it was a pleasure to finally meet him and his wife. He is absolutely as wonderful as his books always had me believe!

My picture book, The Secret of the King, was chosen by the Governor's Commission on Literacy for the Book of Month in March 2006.

This is a picture of me with Mary Kaye Huntsman at the Boys and Girls Club in Midvale. She read parts of the book to the children and talked about how important it is that they look outside themselves and use their talents to help others.

Robert Kirby cam to speak at our writers conference dinner. He was hilarious, and everyone enjoyed his speech.

A March 2006 assembly at Copper Hills Elementary.

With my hard hat on, I'm ready to go to work plotting a book with the children! I always encourage teachers to have the children finish the story later in class.

Left: Children listen at the assembly.

Right: Some children and teachers ask me to sign books after the assembly.

What a blast, going up to KSL for an interview with Doug Wright! To read the interview click here.
